I started to bash on german the better I got in english especially regarding dubs (didn't help I was a stereotypical pretentious annoying lil kid) and I am so glad it was likely really just a kid phase bc I am rewatching detective conan in german (and once I hit where they're not getting dubbed anymore I switch to sub bc I do dislike names getting anglicized and I am very glad the ger dub kept the og japanese names, exceptions when I grew up w the anglicized names) and it is so so comfy. The dub is also just plain good imo and the voices are so nice to hear again I am so glad I found a site that got shows in german (ty katrielle layton anime for apparently only being available in japanese and german and me deciding "well I can speak german so why not check it out", nice voice acting but not up my alley).

I do still usually keep away from eng by anime bc I am a sub over dub person and I find most... not that good.. but I stopped to play part in the debate bc I'm sure all VAs try their best. Not for me but if you like em I'm happy for ya. And also in ger it is hit or miss when the og language is eng do I stick to that which is usually the case. Idk if it is just my perception or if it really did but german dubs kinda worsened but who knows maybe I just catched the ones w bad production on that part (reg ops we got nice ones but I was happy to learn others learned abt the one we got for naturo bc. yeah). Like purely anime speaking I think the cartoons and shows on tv are fine. Minus julien bam as sonic in the movies I still can't get over that but no hate towards him I just find the youtuber as voice actor thing always baffling no matter which language (also dislike the celebrity bias in every country. yes that person is famous but do they actually fit that role + voice acting and actor require different skill sets).

I think I started to bash so much on ger bc "og language always better" and sometimes yeah and I do watch if possible in the og w subs so nothing gets lost (that doesn't have to) but where that opinion makes a turn for the worse is if you start to become pretentious about it and everyone who chooses another option is somehow worse than you. Counts for every opinion that obv isn't debating human life. Honestly I adore polls but that's also why people need to zip it with their snarky comments in the answers or also on quizzes, I do have to admit those where op smacks (right answer) or smth on the one that almost no-one clicked on are funny to see though. A bit of banter is fine imo but there are some that are just really not necessary.

Anyways it is kinda funny how I thought one piece would surely get me into anime again bc I do adore it since like kindergarten and it'll forever be in my heart but nope detective conan it is. Ig the aspect of finding out together who the culprit might be is fun next to being able to do other things meanwhile bc I don't have to read. I think I got into conan at age 14? 15? Feels like decades ago though. I don't think I really understood why others rewatch things until now. Like I got it like yeah comfort but not the extend. I always tried not to rewatch bc "I got so much stuff I can't waste time with the same" (<- has replayed okami a lot on wii and now switch while having gaming backlog since forever, replayed bratz the movie on ps2 almost yearly as kid, etc) but I luckily start to go into "who cares" mode fully and it's really nice. I truly get it now.

A good way to get him to calm down and come back to reality is to have him touch things

Like his tools, his battle shell, you, SHELLDON, and his brothers

These help bring him back to reality so you two can "talk" it out

Donnie communicates best either through text, or not having to look at you

And when you have a meltdown, he'll do anything and everything in his power to make sure you don't hurt yourself

He'll have a padded area in his lab where he can take you if he sees signs of a meltdown

If you go into a dissociative state like him, he'll try sensory toys, talking to you, anything and everything to coax you out of it so you can talk about what triggered it

Honestly? You two were practically made for each other, Donnie helping you slow down and you coax Donnie out of his shell but in a slow, patient and comfortable way

you can't help but look him over from head to toe, he's attractive, carrying the faint scent of cigarettes. "what are we looking for, something pink?"

he rolls his eyes, but a fond smile graces his lips. "yeah. my sister wants something princessy, so pink an' glitter an' all that shit would be perfect."

you write down the notes, getting flavor and size information from him, and set a time for the man to return and pick up the cake. you get a name for the order, gallagher, but aside from that no information about the man. and still, you can't get him out of your mind. his rough demeanor, the way he smiled talking about his sister and niece, all of it left thoughts of him swirling in your mind until the day came for him to pick up the cake.

the man comes back with a sour attitude, a scowl set on his features. you explain to him quickly that you need to finish a few decorations of the cake, and he can't contain his annoyance at the situation, snapping "yeah, well, make it quick will you?"

you shake off his rudeness, chalking it up to the probable stress of the little girl's birthday party. with a skilled hand you ice various pink flowers onto the cake. "sorry you're having to wait, what's the birthday girl's name? and how old is she? it's usually a little extra for writing but i don't mind."

you watch as the man's shoulders loosen, his arms remain crossed over his chest but his face softens as well. "franny, she's turnin' six." blue eyes watch your every move as you scrawl happy sixth birthday, princess franny! in large, looping letters. you box up the cake quickly, taking his payment and generous tip, then sending him off to the party.

a few hours later you're mixing the batter for another order when the bell over the door dings, and you look up to see the same man from before with a little redheaded girl in tow. "is that the nice cake lady?" she asks with a grin.

the man kneels down, "yeah, that's her. go tell her what y'want okay? uncle lip's gonna get it f'ya."

the little girl, who you assume is franny, marches up to the counter. "can i have the batman cookie!?" she says, pointing at the display. a pointed look from her uncle has her adding, "please, cake lady?"

you pull the cookie from the display, handing it down to her, "of course sweetie! did you like your princess cake?"

franny furrows her brow and shakes her head and her uncle lip chuckles. "yeahh, her mom wanted a princess party for her, it was a whole thing." he scratches the back of his neck in a nervous fashion, paying for franny's cookie. "sorry for bein' a dick earlier... could i get your number maybe?"

you can't help but grin, printing off the receipt and scribbling the digits down at the bottom. "i get off at six, if you wanna call," you tell him with a smile.

ANIME CHARACTERS AND THEIR TROPES

Featuring: Suguru Geto

Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen

Trope: best friend's sibling - where you're Gojo Satoru's sibling and Suguru is his best friend.

Genre: fluff, angst.

Note: this takes place when the characters are in Jujutsu Tech, during the mission with Riko Amanai and after the incident, and cult leader Suguru too.

Warnings: swearing, gojo being traumatized, this is just a trope that I feel fit for the character. If you don't fancy it, you can always scroll :)

You had known Suguru for years since he was your always with your brother or vice versa. You'd go to class with them or hang out with mutual friends etc.

Y'all grew up with each other, and even though Satoru was an overprotective brother, Suguru seemed to have been equally overprotective, if not more.

You had decided to move to an apartment near Jujutsu Tech since the dorms were full. The boys weren't that far from the apartment since they stayed at the dorms because they had joined the previous year.

Soon, you started going on missions, and it started getting hectic to the point you would rarely meet Suguru.

Suguru was always a bit flirty, so there used to be light flirting between you both, which earned many eye rolls from your brother.

You started giving your all into your missions, which made you put yourself into dangerous situations, and it concerned Suguru that you didn't seem to notice that you were risking your life.

One day, Suguru decided to take you home so that he could talk to you a bit more about the issue on hand. He didn't want to do it over the phone, for the other reason was the fact that he started falling for you.

He didn't know when it started, but he knew that you meant a lot to him. The less he'd see you, the more he'd think about you, and when he heard from the juniors that you were being reckless, he had unlocked a new fear of losing you.

He obviously didn't tell you because no matter how close he is with Satoru, he would not approve of Suguru with his "little" sister.

Suguru walked in with you into your apartment, taking a look at all the new scars on your arms since he hadn't seen you in months. "Why are you being so reckless?" Was the question that spiralled into a huge argument having both of y'all screaming at eachother.

You were so annoyed at the fact that he was being so overprotective to the point that it was suffocating. "Why the fuck do you care?" You yelled slamming your hand on the dining table which surprised Suguru slightly.

"Because I love you! Can't you tell?!" He yelled back, completely shocked by the words that spilt out of his mouth. He slipped, and he didn't mean to. He tried to look away from your eyes but couldn't. Your cheeks we dusted with dark red as blood shot up to your face.

You were speechless as he pulled you into a hug. "Don't distance yourself from me just because I was being honest. Please..." he practically begged nuzzling his head into your neck. His face turned crimson as soon as you hugged him back. "I love you, too." You said softly.

He pulled away and looked at you. He couldn't believe it. He held your face gently and placed a kiss on your lips. It was enough to convey what you both were feeling when you returned the kiss. That night, Suguru crashed at your place.

The next morning, you woke up to being pulled. You opened your eyes to see Suguru wrap his arms around you. "I have to go... I have a new mission." He said, planting a kiss on your forehead. "We'll talk about us once I'm back." He said softly with a smile on his face you'd never seen. He was content.

All that left him once the mission ended with Riko Amanai's corpse that was being held by Satoru. It had changed him completely, and he forced himself into believing that what he felt for you was wrong and that you both would never work out because he couldn't afford to lose you.

Suguru had completely distanced himself from you. He didn't answer your calls, reply to texts, or even answer the door when you went to his dorm.

You couldn't help but feel frustrated. He was the one that confessed, the one that hugged you, the one that kissed you, and he was the one that begged you to stay, so why did he isolate himself? You convinced yourself that he didn't want to do anything with you and that he changed his mind about his feelings towards you.

A few weeks later, you heard a knock on your door. You opened the door to see Suguru with blood on his clothes and two little girls behind him. "What's all thi-" your question was cut short with Suguru pulling you into a kiss followed by a tight hug.

You pushed him away and looked at him in disbelief. You were so irritated at the fact that he had the audacity to come back after leaving you with no means of contact. You decided to speak your mind. "I'll consider what we had as a mistake." You saw Suguru shatter right before your eyes, causing you to feel your heart sink.

You clearly loved him just as much as he did, but the fear of losing him blinded you, and if his actions towards you can hurt, so can your words. He took your hand with pleading eyes. He explained why he was being so distant and why he's been the way he is.

Hearing him, you couldn't help but tear up at how much he suffered. He gently wiped away the tears. "This is the last time I'll make you cry. I promise. Give me one last chance. Please."

You both weren't in the right state of mind that day, and you both were crazy enough for each other. He knew if he fucked up you wouldn't hesitate to kill him and you knew that too.

You decided to be reckless as usual and go with him and the kids that he'd rescued from the village. Satoru couldn't believe his ears when he heard his best friend killed an entire village, and he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw your apartment was empty.

A few years had passed, and Suguru woke up to you asleep in his arms. He pulled you closer to make sure you were real. You had stuck through with him all these years, and he was grateful for that. He showed all his love through gifts and physical affection.

In conclusion, both you and Suguru realized that this was one of the most beautiful mistakes yall had ever done. The past was bittersweet, but right now, going through all that was worth it if it meant you'd be together <3

Bonus: Mimiko and Nanako had the best parents they could ever ask for. Suguru would never utter the word "No." giving them whatever they wanted, and you would burn the world down if it meant keeping them safe.

To all the fellow jikookers, here's the thing... Jungkook and jimin have visible tattoes which restrict them both from joining some certain units. I personally don't take it as something romantic nd all but yes they could have enlisted individually by that it would have been easier for both of them cause atleast that would have given them options to go to units that are not considered as dangerous as frontline. Jin got it randomly while as jkk got it because of buddy program cause choosing buddy prgrm directly throws you into frontline (i think there's two areas where ppl in Buddy prgrm can deploy to). I don't see anything romantic it this whole buddy program but i definitely see their bond being the closest you're literally putting your life in more danger by choosing this program when you could have been on a little safer side (i know it's military so all the areas are dangerous but frontline is closest to north korea which currently has conflicts with sk, that too given you're an idol). It ensures the thing that many of jkkrs belives which is jkk always choose eachother when it involves their comfort, mental health.

I just think it was a mutual decision as both have visible tattoes and and it's better to go with your close frnd through all the emotional turmoil MS puts you through than go alone.

It is a fact that if jk could he definitely would have chosen special force and this has NOTHING to do with taehyung nd if y'all think it that way then you simply don't know jungkook at all. Although i know there's many jkkrs who do believe jk would have gone to special force nd it doens't have anything to do with TH, but there's some that definitely gets butthurt over someone saying this nd by that you're simply showing how y'all are insecure just like Tkkrs are of JM. The whole fandom used to make jokes about jk doing some things through parasut nd all in military on his first day only n all cause everyone knows how much he loves adventures and the adrenaline rush it gives him. Now just because jm didn't say anything about special force doens't mean he also wouldn't have joined if he could too cause i definitely see him choosing something like that too cause why not??? That man is the most martial arts trained member so i definitely see him wanting to do something like that too and again this also has nothing to do with which other member wants it. I can guarantee y'all he would have aced it cause he's determined, and competitive like that. We all saw how he got first rank in his training when half the fandom was busy portraying him some porcelain dall.

See here's thing, both jm and jk are enlisted together, what the program assures is that both of them gonna start and end their day by waking up and sleeping next to eachother cause Buddy prgrm means you're going to share the same living area for whole 18 months meaning they gonna do the training together side by side, they CAN also do their rest of the service side by side if they got/chose the same job but even if they didn't got/chose same job they're still sleeping next to eachother on daily basis that's the base of Buddy prgrm and NOTHING gonna change that not even the difference jobs.

Now about promotions, when it comes to physical activities in MS I'm sure both jm and jk would be having just a slight difference in their scores (or whatever they calculate thier quality/skills on). Just because jimin doens't take some run BTS games seriously doens't mean he's weak or anything than jk. I'm sure there's not big difference in their rankings. I think the person who gets 1st in training is also given this thing where they're are allowed the early promotions so who knows even now jimin might be slightly higher than jk or they both could be same or jk could be slightly higher than jm. It's not like one is gonna rank #3 and other is gonna rank #30 so there won't be too much difference in their promotions. But as i said they still gonna be in same UNIT for the rest of their MS so they still gonna see eachother daily for the rest of the MS with same living area too.

Just get this thing that they might not be together 24/7 like they used to during training, for next 18 months they could very well be at different positions in their duty hence they might not get the privilege of being together for 24/7 but they'll sleep together and probably eat together for both times too. So stop getting butthurt over small small things nd accusing people of being an anti or anything just because some don't think they're not attached at the hips for every single minute cause there's chances they won't be atleast while on duty but there are also chances them being together on duty too so you can't get mad at people for considering different option (being separated only while on duty) too.

hi! this sort of has happened to me twice

i used to have a friend, C for short, who actually already knew they were the host of a system. at some point though, someone who i believe at the time hadn't quite figured out he wasn't C, was like. hm i wanna change my name, suggestions?

and it turned out that was N, and C had retreated back into the mind a little. N is now the host, and i also know another headmate of theirs. don't fully remember what C is like at this point because i don't speak to them a lot but i can assure you i have no issues with N being here now

i also have an irl friend who's a system or something akin to it, and in the 2 or so months we've known eachother it's now happened twice that the friend i made got severely overwhelmed and needed to take a break and someone else took her place. i have been trying to be his friend too, they're incredibly different personality-wise, so it feels kinda strange sometimes, and i at times missed the friend i know better, but they needed their time away. i tried to treat the situation as having met through a mutual friend, who's gone away for now.

i have other friends who are systems too, and i try to learn a bit about how they specifically function and how they'd like to be treated by me. for example, some systems appreciate you asking about like "you're not the host rn right?" and some would rather you don't ask if they don't say. things like that

sometimes you wished you weren't so closed off when it came to your own feelings. especially when it came to austin. that deep feeling of anxiety was what continued to stop you anytime you came close to revealing your true feelings towards him. especially now that he has a girlfriend, who he's been seeing for a few months now. you liked her, she was nice but part of you knew she didn't like you. could you really blame her? all he ever did was text or call you. after filming elvis, he was always with you and now that he has a girlfriend, it feels like nothing has changed.

you'd known austin for quite some time now. he was introduced to you through a mutual friend and grew close with eachother immediately. nobody knew you like austin did and just that alone made you fall in love with him. whether it'd be you having a panic attack or just having an awful day, he'd rush to your side and make you feel better. if only he could be by your side 24/7. he may as well be.

so when you've found yourself at a get-together that austin would be at, you prayed you wouldn't run into him. it had been a couple days since you'd seen him, but you hadn't been up for seeing him. insecurities and worries were clouding your mind, you just weren't doing too great and didn't want to admit that to austin. you didn't even know why you came to this place, maybe for the alcohol or just to get out of the house. you'd been glued to your corner on your phone, occasionally saying hi to friends you hadn't spoken to in awhile before they ran off to their other friends.

"well well well." a voice said in front of you.

you looked up from your phone, part of you dying inside at the tall figure now in your personal square in the corner but flashing him a quick, welcoming smile. "hi austin"

"you been avoiding me? haven't seen you in forever." he leaned next to you against the wall, invading more of your personal space.

"i didn't see you! honest! i didn't even know you were here." you lied, shoving your phone in your pocket. "i think you would know if i was avoiding you."

he crossed his arms, "which you were definitely doing-"

"-which i was definitely not doing!"

austin sighed and grabbed your arm, "c'mon." you let out a small whine as he pulled you outside, away from the large crowds of people. he sat down on one of the steps, pulling you down next to him. "what's going on?"

you hugged your knees slightly, shrugging. "just been busy."

"it's a good thing you don't act cause you are a very bad liar."

you scoffed. "you play in one huge movie and suddenly you've gotten cocky?"

austin let out a small laugh as you shook your head at him. you both sat there in the cool air for a few moments in silence, just taking in eachothers conpany as you gathered your thoughts. you didn't have enough alcohol in your system to really admit what's been bothering you, but you had to tell austin something. anything.

you scooted closer to him and rested your head on his shoulder. he wrapped an arm around you, rubbing your arm gently. "you don't have to tell me anything. just know i'm here for you." he said softly.

that was the problem. nobody had ever cared for you like austin did. you felt undeserving of him sometimes, especially at times like this. you hated how nice he was to you and how he always knew the right things to say to cheer you up. you hated all of it. it made you love him even more. why love what you can't have? when austin got a text from his girlfriend asking him where he was, he gave you a final hug, told you to call him later and left you there alone on the steps, a feeling of relief overcoming you. you went home that night and cried yourself to sleep, not even bothering to call or text austin.

there had been many times in your friendship where you'd hinted at liking him. you definitely wished you had just been open about how much you adored him instead of just beating around the bush. you'd send him silly little love songs that reminded you of him, often joked saying 'we may as well be dating' and even acting heartbroken when he told you he had a girlfriend saying 'b-but i thought we were dating!' yet he still couldn't take a hint. now here you are, glued to your bed, refusing to look at your phone and gluing your eyes to netflix all day. watching other people being in love knowing how unloveable you felt was comforting at times.

austin was nice enough to give you your space after the party a few days ago, which then turned into weeks. you'd never gone this long without talking to him. but you couldn't bring yourself to answer his texts and he knew better than to show up at your doorstep. you wished he would though, but assumed he was too busy with his girlfriend to put in the effort. your phone lit up with another text from austin asking if you were okay and how worried he was about you. another text of his going ignored as you went back to your show.

just as you were about to doze off, you heard your doorbell ring. letting out an annoyed mumble, you slipped on your house shoes and a hoodie before making your way to the door. it was ringing nonstop, like it was being pushed repeatedly. "jesus, hold on!" you yelled and glanced outside the window. your eyes widened at a disheveled austin, glancing at you sadly. "what the fuck." you opened your door, austin throwing himself on you and holding you tightly.

"i was so worried about you." he said, voice deeper and more tired than usual. you pulled away from him to get a good look at him, frowning slightly. "austin-i-are you okay?"

"she broke up with me."

"oh, god. i'm sorry. c'mon, i'll get you some water." you closed the door behind him as he took a seat on your couch, face in his hands. "i tried, i really did."

you grabbed a water from the fridge and handed it to him before sitting next to him. "what happened?" you felt bad for austin, really. you'd neglected him for weeks all while he was having problems with his relationship and you were the one person he wanted to talk to throughout all of this. you felt awful, but you were glad to be there for him now at least.

austin began picking at the label on the bottle nervously, hands shaking. "it always feels like people leave me, am i not loveable? why can't i hold a relationship?"

it was ironic, you having the same feelings in regards to austin. it was the reason why you had been avoiding him all this time. "you know that's not true, austin."

he refused to look you in the eye, still making a mess of the label. "why've you been avoidin' me? if it's not true then why won't you talk to me?"

"i-" you sat there silently, looking at the floor. this wasn't the time to admit your true feelings to austin, but you couldn't come up with a better reasoning. "austin-"

"d'ya know i used to be so in love with you? like-god." he sighed and placed the bottle on the coffee table, glancing over at you. "moving on was so hard. i just-i wanted to be with you. i think that's why she broke up with me. because of you."

your jaw dropped, leaving you speechless.

"this whole time-i just wanted you. it's always been you. been so worried about you these last couple of weeks, just wanted to come over and hold you for a few hours. i wanted to take care of you but i thought you were mad at me about somethin'-"

"austin. are you serious?" you interrupted. you leaned back on the couch, laughing softly.

austin looked at you with his brows furrowed, slightly annoyed at your sudden mood change. "whats so funny?"

"i must really be a bad actor cause i've been throwing hints at you for the longest time." you laughed again.

"hints?"

"austin, i've been in love with you for years. when you got a girlfriend, i was devastated. i didn't know what to do, i thought you were gonna leave me."

austin turned to you, bringing a leg up to the couch. "i would never leave you. are you kidding?" he took your hands in his and held them tightly. "after everything you and i have been through? hell, after everything i put you through? i mean c'mon, i could have asked anyone to sit through all of elvis's movies with me but i asked you instead."

"surprisingly not that bad."

"right?" austin chuckled then shook his head. "no but seriously, you mean everything to me. i can't lose you." he stood up and pulled you up. he hugged you tightly before placing a kiss on your forehead, smiling and leaving his arms wrapped around your waist.

you placed your hands softly on the sides of his face, locking your eyes with his. "let's go to bed, yeah? we can finish this in the morning."

He had no time for silly things as love

Oh if he only knew that his friend was also the cause of this desperate feeling he now had

You and Sapnap had been inseparable since elementary, nothing ever got in the way of your friendship

Not the stupid fights you had over killing eachother's Minecraft animals, not both of you getting jealous because you were hanging out more with other people and definetly not your 5 minute girlfriend in middle school

Only once you grew up realising what you actually felt for your friend that destiny decided it was time to ruin everything

You parents had told you that you were all moving to Florida before highschool started

And unfortunately that meant leaving Sapnap right as you discovered what you truely felt for him

And now here you were, complaining to your mutual friend, Dream, about how much you missed him and how he didn't know how you felt and how it would never happen anyway

You were hopeless. There was no hope in your heart that Sapnap would've ever liked you back

Even with all the calls and texts, that to Dream and George were obviously ways of the texan to keep you as close to him as possible, you felt like you had absolutely no chance in the world

But while you've been crying your poor heart out about your, totally not obvious, crush, Dream was planning on helping Sapnap move to his house

The two had obviously told you nothing, an idea of Sapnap because he too had been in the same position has you

He discovered his feelings much later than you, but once he came to terms with it, is where he knew that he couldn't really stay away from you any longer

You didn't suspect anything when the masked man had invited you to his house; it was normal of him to do so once in a while

Suprise hit you when you opened the door and, instead of being met with the tall blonde man you were used to see for the past few years, you were met with Sapnap's bashful face

He was honestly joking. It was just a stupid idea that crossed his mind after a few comments he had heard, and he decided to say something since he knew she had heard them, too.

But the last thing he expected was for her to agree, even jokingly, and he almost wished he had kept his mouth shut...

Almost.

Because as awkward as it was, the conversation following was... oddly calm. It was a rare, genuine conversation between the two that led to a mutual agreement and understanding. It wasn't like they hadn't talked about stuff like that before, with theur talks of plans after freedom and whatnot... The only difference was that they had never considered... well, eachother. She was his assistant and occasional 'partner', and both were just far too busy and distracted for something like that. And they're both dense as fuck- Not to mention, there wasn't THAT kind of attraction between them...

Right?

Nah, definitely not. Sexual and physical, yes. Romantic? Hm. Doubtful. (😏)

But, as pointed out by Emelia multiple times before and during this conversation, some individuals of the village didn't take her as seriously as they did Heisenberg. So, in the end, it was moreso a 'status' thing agreed upon by the two. But, just for 'fun', y'know?

'Fun'.

But there was... DEFINITELY alot more to work through than simply saying 'hey we're married, some respect please', and uh... that 'alot more' unfortunately had to do with... 'family'.

The other Lords and Miranda, to be exact.

So of course, the easiest course of action was to bring her to the next meeting. That meeting, of course, felt like a long time coming by the time the day arrived, and admittedly both of them were just two giant balls of nerves.

"Are we really going through with this...?"

"You're the one that agreed, Doll. For the record, I was joking."

She knew he was joking. She knew full well he was joking. Even as she sat next to him like usual during the meeting, she knew he had been joking, and she wondered what ungodly force made her open her mouth and agree. She wondered as the meeting progressed, to which she wasn't paying attention at all because how could she, and she wondered as it came to an end and Karl stood up and addressed Miranda personally. She wondered as she heard the other Lords make comments, listening to him shoot back insults to silence them. It was 'important', he said. She wondered as Miranda questioned him, and couldn't help but flinch as he spoke loud and purposeful, simply to drown out the chaos of the others that had erupted-

"I'm taking a wife."

His words followed closely by abrupt silence... and then laughter. Specifically laughter from Dimitrescu, and even a chuckle from Miranda- but Alcinas words even burned Emelia;

"What proper woman in their right mind would EVER take a beast such as yourself to be wed?"

Emelia wasn't a proper woman. Hell, sometimes she didn't even feel like a 'woman' at all, only considered one for obvious reasons, and he knew that. She was just... there. But that jab and Karls resulting angered silence in the following laughter were painful, and she couldn't stop herself from speaking up despite never intending to.

"Me."

Silence again, this time all eyes on her;

Including Karl.

She suddenly stands, slowly makes her way to stand next to him, and has a staredown with the woman they both despise, all while he and the other Lords are staring at her liks she's gone mad, though his stare goes between her and Miranda. Miranda obviously isn't gonna be like 'oh yeah sure, go ahead', because why would she? But hey, this is the most amusement she's had in a while, so she'll bite.

"And why, pray tell, would you be willing to do so?"

Both Emelia and Karl know damn well this is a trick question. She can't FULLY admit care towards him gods forbid Miranda takes that as a challenge, but she also doesn't want it to seem like she's using him which ALSO seems like a challenge.

"Because I want to." Is her simple reply. When asked for more of a reason, she more or less gives the 'we've been living together for this long, I'm basically already his partner, may as well make it official' type speech, and... Miranda actually agrees.

She ACTUALLY agrees to allow them to do so, which pretty much floors everyone but Moreau, who seems excited to welcome his best friend into the 'family'.

But who will 'officiate'? When will it be done? What kinda hoops will they have to jump through?

Well, the answer comes easily, and through quick thinking on Emelias part-

Duke.

He can do 'anything', and he likes them enough... Why not ask him, right?

So, they do.

Its actually a surprisingly painless process and Duke is, of course, excited for them; especially when he offers to do it that very moment.

"It's not often we get a 'happy' couple such as you! And for a Lord, no less. Please, allow me."

And, with Miranda and the other 3 there to bear witness(and a few villagers peeking), it was done.

It was... probably one of the most awkward kisses they've shared, honestly...

But sweet dear lord, the look he gave her afterwards was enough to nearly have her on her knees.

Bright eyes and a small reassuring smile that they could go home after this and the gentle hand at her lower back while giving short thanks to Duke nearly made her pass out from embarrassment, and she ended up leaning on him and attempting to hide her reddening face.

It wasn't until Miranda spoke a few words that they could finally leave, and she just... clung to him the entire way back. She had no idea what the hell to say or do, now she was 'married' to a Lord out of a whim and a joke, and even already experienced a few 'Lady Heisenberg's here and there from the villagers who had seen. But Karl himself was... surprisingly calm.

"That was eventful."

Next thing she knows, he scoops her up in his arms with a squeal and is carrying her into the factory field. She's stunned at first.

"... You're taking this a tad more serious than I thought..."

"Gotta play it off for prying eyes, hm?"

He's got a point, so she just... gets comfy until they get inside.

Life afterwords is... odd. She has to get used to the new name, used to the new 'title', though she appreciates the new respect it grants her from villagers... But whats even weirder is getting used to the new... 'affection' he gave. It started that night(gotta throw that 'consummation' in somehow ALDHAKHAKDHA-) , and just... didn't stop. An odd gentleness and careful meaning to words and touches when it came to her for years afterwards unless she said otherwise, even when working...

Almost like he was taking it seriously the entire time.

But is it actually 'love'?

Hell, maybe they even admit it a bit earlier on this time around if the mood calls for it. Because, hey... Marriage can change alot of people, y'know...?
